Banu Flies
BIOGRAPHY
I currently play bass in a band called Screenshots and Robots, in addition to writing/recording music as a solo artist under "Banu Flies".
Banu was the name of my grandmother who taught Baha'i children's classes in Iran under threat of severe persecution. She serves as a constant influence in my life and art, so this name serves to bear witness to this fact.

This album ended up being influenced by rock, punk, reggae, country, and new age without really falling into any of these genres wholesale. Lyrically, it is influenced by a bit of what I'm going through personally, as well as in terms of the Northeastern US winters.
